Sunday Services

Our churches are opening their doors! We are delighted to be able to offer in person services beginning on Palm Sunday. We are moving cautiously forward and as lockdown restrictions ease, we will continue to monitor the situation.  Infection rates may rise, guidelines may change so please continue to check the notices in our church porches or on the church website or Facebook for the latest news on in-church services throughout the forthcoming weeks.

Palm Sunday 28th March               10am Holy Communion at Nayland

Maundy Thursday 1stApril           Please find an online service, e.g. from the Cathedral.

Good Friday 2nd April     10am Elements of the Passion at Nayland

                                               1-4pm St Matthew’s Passion at Stoke.  People are invited to attend this devotional and can ‘come and go’ during the three hours.   

All churches will be open for private prayer on Good Friday during the following times

 Polstead 11-4pm      Leavenheath 12-3pm        Stoke 10-1pm    Nayland 11-4 Wiston 9-4pm

And on Easter Day

The Easter Sunday service at Stoke will be recorded and posted online with the usual links.

IMPORTANT. Anyone wishing to attend any of the above in-church services should register with the churchwardens in advance as numbers are limited for social distancing.

Please remember to fill in the track and trace form as you enter, wear a mask and observe social distancing. Sanitising gel is provided. There is no expectation or pressure to return to in person services before you feel safe to do so. Many people are still required to shield and many have not yet had their second or even their first vaccination. We know that it may take a long time before everyone will feel comfortable or confident about returning to in person services so the following online services will continue to be provided for the foreseeable future.

NB All services in Wiston Church are restricted to Wiston congregation, to maintain social distancing.
