11.15am    Wiston           Holy Communion & Baptism
6.30pm      Leavenheath VH      Evening Praise

Masks are no longer required, but are still recommended for the time being.

We will mark the launch of this second venue within our benefice with a brief ceremony at 10am TODAY, Sunday 19 June in the South Porch.   All are welcome to join us when we will outline the arrangements for this branch of the Community Pantry at St Mary’s.

Sited in the south-west porch of the church, the pantry at St James’ has been running for some months and is regularly used. It is stocked with essentials for those in need.
Food/household essentials can be donated & left at the pantry.
If you would like to make a financial donation to this fund please contact Jane Wilson at for bank details.

Tickets for an auction of Antiques, Vintage and Collectables to be held in the Stoke Village Hall are available from Stoke Post Office priced £10 which includes a glass of champagne. Viewing on the day 11am to 2pm. Jonathan Benson of Reeman Dansie is the auctioneer so an entertaining evening is promised, as well as there being bargains to be had.  All profits will go to the Spring Fair fund.

will no longer take place.  Evening prayer services take place in one our churches in the Benefice each week.
We are looking to restart MESSY CHURCH, or similar, for families in the autumn. If there is anyone who would like to be involved once a month, with the crafts, the teas, publicity or admin/organising please contact Revd Val for more details on 01206 262814 or    

EVERY Wednesday 10-12noon Coffee/tea is served in St James’ Nayland.  Do pop in and enjoy a hot drink, delicious cakes and a chat.

From Monday 7th March we will be holding a short weekly Holy Communion service in St James’ Nayland at 10am.  All are welcome!  We would also like to start running a baby/toddler group in the church after the communion service to give parents and carers the opportunity to meet and relax over a cup of coffee in the church.  If you would be able to help with refreshments and a warm welcome

Community pantry & Financial Assistance Fund

Thank you for all the items generously donated to the community pantry. Currently, we do not need any more tinned tomatoes or beans. But we do need fresh veg and fruit, long-life milk, butter, cereal, tea and instant coffee, toiletries, toilets rolls and cleaning materials, also pasta, rice, tinned tomatoes, sugar, tinned fruit, crisps and cereal. 

Please keep spreading the word that this is a resource for anyone in our villages, whether their need is occasional or regular. There is also a fund for those in need of financial assistance, perhaps with school uniforms and shoes, essential or unexpected bills.
