Sunday 17th April Easter Day

This Sunday we have two in person services:

9am Polstead Holy Communion

11:15am Stoke Benefice Easter Celebration After this service there will be an Easter Egg Hunt for the children and refreshment for the adults including prosecco and nibbles!

Masks are no longer required, but are still recommended for the time being.

All pets are invited to this special service whatever their size, colour or creed.  However unusual they are, they will be welcome!  Refreshments will be served afterwards.

BOXTED METHODIST SILVER BAND will be performing at
St Mary’s, Stoke on Saturday 23rd April, 6-8pm 
FREE entry with retiring collection to BMSB
St Mary’s will run a bar from 5.30pm with donations towards the church

Stoke Monday morning singers will be singing
to raise funds for Suffolk refugee support.
Monday 25th April 10am- 12 noon in Nayland Village Hall.
Do come & listen or join in.  Bring a friend.
 Refreshments served afterwards.

Monday 2nd May 1pm – 4pm
Please support this popular annual event which raises much needed funds for the church.  Donations for the numerous stalls are being collected now.  See page 25 in the Community Times
St Edmundsbury Cathedral 1000th Anniversary
(Events have been delayed by two years due to Covid)
Suffolk Philharmonic Orchestra will be appearing in St Edmundsbury Cathedral for a special concert on Sat. 28th May with the
Eye Bach Choir and the English Arts Chorale.
The programme includes Britten’s Fanfare for St Edmundsbury and Elgar’s Enigma Variations

EVERY Wednesday 10-12noon Coffee/tea is served in St James’ Nayland.  Do pop in and enjoy a hot drink, delicious cakes and a chat.

From Monday 7th March we will be holding a short weekly Holy Communion service in St James’ Nayland at 10am.  All are welcome!  We would also like to start running a baby/toddler group in the church after the communion service to give parents and carers the opportunity to meet and relax over a cup of coffee in the church.  If you would be able to help with refreshments and a warm welcome

Community pantry & Financial Assistance Fund

Thank you for all the items generously donated to the community pantry. Currently, we do not need any more tinned tomatoes or beans. But we do need fresh veg and fruit, long-life milk, butter, cereal, tea and instant coffee, toiletries, toilets rolls and cleaning materials, also pasta, rice, tinned tomatoes, sugar, tinned fruit, crisps and cereal. 

Please keep spreading the word that this is a resource for anyone in our villages, whether their need is occasional or regular. There is also a fund for those in need of financial assistance, perhaps with school uniforms and shoes, essential or unexpected bills.
